“The woman who follows the crowd will usually go no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been before.” Francis Phillip Wernig
sad child xMany of us, as little girls, were taught to be quiet. To be reserved. To be compliant. To be silent. We were taught to give to others. We were taught to wait. We were taught to not put ourselves first. To not be seen. To not be heard. To not be important to ourselves.  No wonder, as women, so many of us remain stuck in our lives and loves because of the paralyzing power of imprint upon our little girl brain. So, darling sister, please, for goodness sakes, what will you do with your family’s, your lover’s, the world’s harsh need to change you? You know longer need to feel alone as the child who was forbidden to be real. As the child who longed to be loved because of all the wonder of you, just as you were.

As I was once this  grown-up, but still naive lonely child, I promise you, your world, and everyone in it,  will change when you do.  Being alone as a woman empowers your freedom to be authentically true to who you are.  So, maybe it’s time to put away childish things. Maybe its time to step alone into your courage as WOMAN. It is your choice to walk alone into your independence.  Your freedom. No one else can make that choice, for it is your life you now take control of. And, if you choose this courageous path, your heart will find yourself in places no one has ever been before.  YOU are Worthy. Blessed be.
